the summer heat having the family around by the pool having a bbq lunch and drinking the day away.
My favourite part of Christmas is laughter. Getting together with friends and putting all worries aside for a time and just laughing and smiling and chatting. It’s a good way to forget the stress for a day and just enjoy being alive.

I work in public transport so most years I don’t get Christmas off, but it’s great to be able to spend it with a bunch of people who are more nucken futs than my own family! Hooray for Christmas on the Melbourne to Sydney train!
My favorite thing about Christmas is the practical jokes…. this year we are doing secret santa with only $5… something stupid or useless… the fun is just beginning 🙂 someone will find only one shoe or maybe some shorts cut in half. But damn theres some bloody wankers trying to lessen my Christmas cheer – But I love spending money on my wonderful kids – and with 9 of the little buggers they cost me a nice bloody quid – But I love the things that are priceless , like the singing of carols together and the smiles that brighten my Christmas day no matter what the weather.
My favourite thing about Christmas is hearing my kids laughing and playing together and their squeals and shrieks in the morning unwrapping their pressies.

Extra special this year with our lovely baby daughter who will be nine weeks old and getting sod all for Christmas!

I don’t have children or family of my own so for Christmas Day I volunteer at a homeless shelter, where thanks to donations, we can provide 30 families with lunch and gifts. My favourite thing about Christmas, is seeing the look on the faces of the children at the homeless shelter when Santa didn’t forget them, the look on the faces of their parents when their families aren’t missing out on Christmas and the fact that the true blue Aussie spirit of many people make this possible.
The only day of the year that i can eat as much as i want sleep like a fat mexican and be rewarded with gifts..

Spending time at home with friends, catching up with people that you wish you could see more often but with work commitments not always able! That DVD would be a perfect way to bring us all together for a good laugh! 🙂
My favourite thing about Christmas is I always choose my own presents courtesy of his bank card so I KNOW I’m not stuck with a practical present such as an ironing board or food mixer (who knows how to use them anyway?!)
I think I deserve to win for two very good reasons,
1) I took my hubby to a KBW/jenny Talia gig in 2006 on our FIRST DATE and you asked me my favourite song which was ‘bastard’ you picked on him and he still married me 😉
2) I loaned my jenny Talia CD’s to a so called friend and 3 years on he’s still claiming to have ‘lost’ them. I am currently deprived of your music 🙁

Have a few favorite things to do with Christmas. Seeing/ catching up with friends and relatives but the BEST thing about Christmas is seeing B and R’s faces when they open their presents. Nothing can beat that!

kick off christmas day with a strong vodka. i love to help cook the big feast we stress over for all of christmas morning to put on the table to just see everyone scoff down not giving two shits of how it tastes then getting rotten drunk with the disfunctional family, opening presents and playing games then going for a good old swim when its 40 degree heat and watching fireworks.
The best thing is lots of fartballs (sorry, sprouts) which linger for hours jo ho ho

Getting home to spend time with the family and friends! Catching up with people who you wish you could see more often but don’t get to due to work commitments etc. I reckon that DVD would be a nice way to pass an evening all together watching it having a good laugh! It would be funny to see the Granny’s reaction to some of it!! ha ha

My favorite thing?
Probably giving to others. I just raised money for a friend whose son has a double hernia, and he needed ten grand to fix it. My friend is also a somewhat famous writer, but not rich, despite what folks think about writers.
Well, much to his surprise and pleasure, he got the funds within three days from other folks who liked him or his writing. I managed to raise over two hundred and fifty myself.
That felt good. I am still broke, but boy am I happy!!
