When Rio won the bid for the 2016 Olympics, I was one of many that was pissed off

I totally thought that Chicago should’ve got it

Not just because I live here too

Well, may be a ‘bit, because I live here

I mean, this city is awesome

And it’s got it all

It’s in the midwest, so it’s friendly

It’s got so many beautiful parks

And tonnes of fantastic things to do all over the city

And even though I grew up in Kalgoorlie where the beach is where the ocean is

And Chicago’s on a lake

It ‘technically’ has a beach too

Which unfortunately, for most of the year can look like this

But it’s still a great place to go hang out in the summer

So with all that Chicago’s got going for it

Tell me again why the fuck Rio got chosen?
