We had a long drive to the show tonight in Warwick

From Brisbane, it’s about 150kms (90+ miles)

So we left early

5 o’clock

Gave ourselves 2 hours to get there

And arrive well and truly before showtime

But we weren’t expecting the traffic we got stuck in

It took us over 90 minutes

Just to get 35kms (21 miles)

Needless to say that put us a little bit behind the eight ball

Late even

And we’re a lot of things out here on the road

lazy, smelly, vulgar

But we’re never late

Luckily, I’m quite the multitasker

So, when I saw the clock in the car read 7:52pm

And knew the show started at 8pm

I was onto it

‘Cause I usually get dressed and put my war paint on once we get to the gig

But I decided I’d  better pull my finger out start putting my makeup on in the car

Which is no easy feet on these windy Queensland roads

My mascara wand went up my nose more than once

And my lipstick had trouble finding my face let alone my lips

But all in all, I think I did OK

Maybe not the best tranny look stellar job I usually do

But I don’t think anyone would have noticed

I’m lucky my hotness always shines through

Unless they were looking REALLY close
