Mum: I’d love to live here. It’s beautiful
Me: Pretty amazing views all around
Mum: I’d be nervous about bush fires though
Me: I guess that’s the risk you take if you live in a house that’s surrounded by the bush
Mum: Yeah. You’d have to pay close attention to the weather and stuff
Me: They usually give you some kind of warning when fires are burning
Mum: Yeah – you get fingers up from the firemen
Me: Fingers up? By firemen?
Mum: That’s what I said
Me: I think you mean a ‘heads up’ from the firemen mum
Mum: Yeah, that’s what I meant
