superstitious much?

I’ve never considered myself superstitious.

According to my husband, I’m full of shit.

I have a couple of little ‘thingies’ I do sometimes – but full blown superstitious?? Quirky maybe.

My husband and I met on Friday 13th – my dad was born on Friday 13th – so there ‘may’ be something to it

Whenever I drive over train tracks I lift my feet up and make a wish. Of course while retaining complete control over the vehicle at all times blah, blah.

Nothing weird about that I reckon.

Oh yeah – then there’s that other ‘little’ thing I do when I see an ambulance. More like a little song and dance actually….

“hold your collar, do not swallow until it’s out of sight” – this one sucks big time when I’ve just taken a sip of hot take away coffee and then have to drive behind the ambulance for 5 miles before it turns off and you can’t see it anymore

“touch your nose and touch your toes and you’ll never be in one of those” – again, while maintaining total control of the car

One of my best friends from high school, Elana also thought I was a nut job for doing this whenever I saw an ambulance so she never joined in. For the record, she’s the only person I know who has ever been in an ambulance.

So you can all kiss my arse may want to reconsider learning my moves

Who’s the weirdo now??

  1. I used to hold my breath going over a bridge with water underneath (weird kid thing…) until I drove across the Golden Gate. It was “Sink or Swim” over “Pass out and Die”!
