Sydney tour is done & dusted

And now it’s time to kick off my solo shows in Western Australia

I’m not sure why this picture ended up so big on here, it’s all stretched out and fucked up

And by fucked up, I mean totally out of proportion to the point where I look way thinner

So yeah, I’m leaving it like that.

We had a great weekend of shows

Sold out, amazing crowds

We also got to catch up with some great mates

Before his wife Kylie passed away

She had been promising to take her younger brother to one of our shows

But he had to wait until he turned 18

Kirrin, who looks so much like Kylie, turned 18 just before his big sister died

So he never got the chance to see a show with her

But Tom made sure his little brother-in-law didn’t miss out

The boys had special t-shirts (dedicated to Kylie) made up just for the night

Instead of coming with a big group of mates

They opted to just come to the show together

And brought along photos from every time we’d all caught up in the past

There were some laughs and a few tears

Dad and I made sure we did Kylie’s favourite songs in the show

‘Cause we know she was there somewhere

After this Sydney tour finishes up

I’m headed back to WA for a month

Getting to take the girls back is very exciting

They haven’t been to WA in 4 years

M&M are most excited to see their cousins and watch movies in Nanna & Poppy’s big-arse home theatre

I think I’m most excited about the solo shows I’ll be doing when I get there

Why?

Because I’ll have my jet lagged as a mother fucker coz he hates to fly and will need to be heavily sedated just to drive to the airport Diamond with me!

Tom & Leah were at the show tonight in Woonoona

This was their 4th time seeing me live

And they’d seen Dad 3.2 times

Because they were at the Ulladulla show in the blackout of 2010

So they missed Dad’s part of that gig

Anyhoo

They’re big fans

And really lovely people

And loves her some Fuck It Up Friday

So in the probable possible absence of one this week

Because I’m…

a) still jetlagged

b) getting woken up every morning by the girls at 5am

c) a lazy cow

d) all of the above
