opinions are like arseholes…here’s mine

(my opinion, not my arsehole)

So here’s a little disclaimer for the following post

It fucking totally will may get a little ‘rant-y’

My very loud, angry opinion

So what the FUCK is up with all these boat people coming into Australia?

What’s that other word we use for them?

Oh yeah, ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS!

And here I was thinking that if something was ILLEGAL

It was wrong

It meant laws had been broken

There would be punishment involved

Silly fucking me

Illegal immigrants here

Who arrive by boat

Are flown to various locations around Australia

In private, chartered planes

Almost $200,000 a week is being spent on charter flights to ferry asylum seekers all over the place

In the 2008-09 financial year, 32 charter flights carrying 2500 people  cost $2.7 million – an average of $84,000 a flight.

They then stay in (custom built) detention centres

And when that’s not available, hotels

It’s certainly more accommodating than where they have come from

They are given money for food, clothing & other supplies

We don’t just ‘supply’ them with supplies

In many cases they are given the cash

And sent off on a shopping spree

Let’s not forget the medical care given too

Wow!

So all you hard working, tax paying Australians

Are footing the bill for this

For these criminals

They are then provided with financial resources by the Australian taxpayer to pay the legal costs of arguing their cases

One estimate is that the cost of removing an illegal immigrant is, on average, approximately $60,000

It makes me want to go out and punch a do-gooder in the fucking face

I appreciate that this is a country built from the ground up, BY immigrants

But these immigrants worked their FUCKING ARSES OFF to make this country what it is

There were no handouts

They worked

And they worked

They became Australian

They EARNED it

It was not just given to them when they landed on these shores

Now look, I understand these people come from impoverished backgrounds

They are seeking a better way of life

I’m just asking that they do it legally

There is a system in place

We have an entire immigration department

An immigration Minister even

Who knew?

Why not spend some of the private plane/hotel funds

On getting these people here the right way?

Pay lawyers/administraters in their countries to ‘apply’ for them

For legal residency / citizenship

Use the money to process their applications

Then each application is taken on merit

And I’m sorry, actually, you know what?

I’m not sorry

If you don’t speak English

If you have no skills

If your moving here would burden us

If WE would have to pay for your food, shelter etc

Then NO

You can’t come

Maybe that sounds a little rough to you

But there are laws for immigration

And as someone who has met many, many people from overseas

Who would give a BODY PART to be able to live in Australia

But don’t fit the criteria

As in: They don’t have more than $250,000 in assets

They don’t bring a job skill that will benefit this country

They try to do it ‘the right way’

They are denied

But hey, jump in a boat

With nothing but the clothes on your back

And we’ll pay YOU to stay here

I know that a lot of these people are victims of people smugglers

And give what little they have to the man in charge

With nothing more than a promise of a new life in Australia

But if we don’t let them in

EVER

Then the ‘man in charge’ is out of fucking business

Australia is no longer a destination, right?

I appreciate that there are many more asylum seekers who arrive by air

And that there are more than 50,000 visa overstayers here

Compared to fewer than 5000 boat people

But the money spent on them surely can be better used staffing our immigration officers

To help them track & deport other illegals

There is so much money being spent on HELPING those who have clearly broken our laws

I just don’t get it

And what about the security of this country?

A lot of these UNDOCUMENTED, ILLEGAL immigrants

Are from Afghanistan

‘Scuse me, but aren’t our boys getting fucking killed over there trying to help them?

Fuck that shit

And I couldn’t mean that more

FUCK. THAT. SHIT.

Why aren’t they trying to immigrate to Korea?

Why aren’t they trying to immigrate to China?

‘Cause they’d end up in jail, that’s why

Or with their fucking heads blown off

A bit harsh I know

But shit, it’s totally working for them

The ‘fuck off we’re full’ mentality that so many Australians have

Is not, in my opinion, the answer

But there are days where I absolutely agree with the sentiment behind it

For the average Aussie, working hard

Paying taxes

Chasing a bit of the ‘Australian Dream’

It’s not easy sometimes

And to see others just show up on our doorstep

And be gifted with what most people here work bloody hard for

Is just fucking wrong

Sure there’s room for everybody

But let’s be smart about this

And do it the legal way

Let the people who have followed the law

And have something to GIVE, rather than TAKE

Let them have a shot at coming here

I know my opinion is just that, MINE

And you may not agree with me

But you know what?

I welcome your opinion

If you know more about this and want to enlighten me

Go ahead

Who knows, maybe you can even change my opinion?

Good luck with that.

Perfectly written Jenny…I couldn’t agree more – God, where were you when they were looking for a new Prime Minister?

  2. jackie burns Says:

i have just read your post ,and became quite emotional ….you are 110% correct ,i just wish that more folk would stand UP..and be heard ,,, as it is we voice an opinion and get no support because it might offend some people ..my parents were immigrants in the early 50s …. no easy ride for them i’ll give you the tip .a hard slog all the way…. .but this my home and no one is going to take from me ,my opinion thats totally in line with yours and many hundreds of thousands more …good no you girl ……jenny for P.M…..

  3. Glenn Says:

Dead bloody right. My country my rules. Get on the line like all the other people who want to come to the best country in the world. I feel sorry for them but there are ways. As you said the older immigrants came out and worked bloody hard and have our respect. The learnt how to speak english and helped us and them selves. If you dont like our way of life F#$k off back or better still DONT COME AT ALL>

  4. Caroline Says:

    Well said!
    It is unfair! UNFAIR!
What about our own Citizens needing help first. Spend the money on them and on shit the tax payers need and turn those boats right around and send them right back.
If we stop letting them in, they’ll stop trying to do it illegally, but the reason they keep doing it and coming again and again, is because they get in for free with luxuries even if it’s in a detention centre, it still kicks arse over their country obviously, so for them it’s still a win and a lose for all hard working Aussies and unfair to both them and other foreigners who actually do it the legal and correct way!

  5. Dilli Gaf Says:

    Jenny, I agree with you.

    Bloody Immigrants
    Bloody Do-gooders
    Bloody Spine-less Politicians

Bloody Wilson (where is he when you need a leader)

Of course if I said all this in public here the wankers in charge would call me racist. How dare I be English.

Regards to you and the Old Man.

    Dilli Gaf

P.S. We got shit loads of criminals if you need some more. ;-)

  6. Vinnie and Kat Says:

Dead bloody right my girl. It makes me think of how the media crucified Pauline Hanson because she had the guts to stand up and say things like this. Now we have another redheaded politician, will she have do something about this situation? Not bloody likely, she’ll just be a puppet to all the do gooders and nothing will change. Wrong, wrong, wrong.

  7. mond leveller Says:

I’m with Dilli Gaf on this …. this has been going on for decades here in the UK and if anyone speaks out they are branded racist ….. well if i has a quarter of a mill i’d happily come live in Aus because apparently you can still say what you like ….hubby’s a builder , i do security and my kids want to be teachers so at least we’d pay our way……. now in the UK there are towns in which no white person is safe to walk in or even drive through…. this is what lax immigration has done for us …made us unwelcome in our own land ….. if they want to emigrate here then they should intigrate here too

  8. Cassie Saddington Says:

    And I say…… same as her….

  9. Chris Says:

Sink 1 boat! just 1. U might pick some flak for a while, but u will not see any more frikken boats?

  10. JennyUK Says:

Britain has been like it for donkeys yonks now!

People don’t just come here with their families to make a better life for themselves by working hard like they used to. God bless the ones that actually still do!!

  11. Craggles Says:

here here, You’re old man said it well, if your an immigrant g-day and welcome if your illegal FUCK OFF!!!!

The quicker the better i say, then maybe just maybe we can get back on track to turning this cess pool of a country around and putting it where it should be!

  12. Curvy Jane Says:

You said it as it is, Jen! Too right!!! DITTO…to ALL comments before mine.

I am an immigrant to Australia…LEGAL IMMIGRANT! I came over from America in 1985. It took ages to get through the paperwork and cost me a packet in fees and I am married to an Australian! Just when it went through, they pulled me back to have additional medical (AIDS Tests became mandatory). That cost me again and also caused another mountain of documents to fill out. I also had to have a Police Report (which cost me more$$) to be sure I wasn’t a threat to Australia.

I have been here 25 years and have NEVER had a Government “Hand Out” of any kind! EVen when we struggled to get by, we took NOTHING! My husband was in the Air Force and worked on F1-11s that protect our shores. His hearing is greatly compromised from it and still, we take NOTHING from our government. We pay taxes.

Perhaps the “Do-Gooders” should pay the funding for the planes, accommodation, food & general keep of those they seem to be so passionate about. Bet that would change their views, quick smart!

Do it RIGHT or DON’T SHOW UP!!! As said…”If you’re an immigrant, G’day and Welcome…If you’re illegal, FUCK OFF” That simplifies it PERFECTLY!

  13. Amber Says:

    100% agreed.

  14. OkieDownUnder Says:

As an immigrant I COMPLETELY agree! We paid a lot of money, filled out mountains of paper work, held our breathe, & are working very hard to live in Australia! The boat people need to be told they will be shot if they do not turn around & leave! Australia does not want to end up like America with all the Mexicans taking over! You don’t even have to speak English to become an American citizen, they’ll translate for you!
I understand both American & Australia was built by immigrants, but they worked hard to build it, & not by standing in a line with their hands out!
    Good on ya Jenny!

  15. Ron 1960 Says:

I am not proud to see how the leaders of OUR country let these people in and our taxes pay for them. I would rather the navy sink the boats and return these people from where they comr from. Indonesia. Dump them on the beach let them have them and return Christmas island to the people of Australia.

  16. Dilli Gaf Says:

    Right with you Mond Leveller.

Croydon is fast becomming one of those towns and Kev was here a couple of years back. I think all the whites were in the Fairfield Halls that night. A minute after Kev had finished the first song a black bloke came in and sat down right in the middle a few rows from the front. Kev watches him walk across in silence then as he sat down he said

“Fuck! he’s got some balls!” and the whole place went up.

Anyway I moved out of Croydon last year, went to live in England. No immigration office in my town now. But I’d go back to Croydon to see Jenny & Kev when the’re up next.

  17. Robert Scott Says:

I spent 20 years in the RAAF serving two tours overseas in Malaysia. It pains me to see how we let these “boat” people in illegally then provide them with shelter, food and money as depicted by you. The policy should be, if one of our RAN ships intercept these boats a warning should be given : ” Do a 180 deg turn or expect to be fired upon.” If they do not comply, don’t fuck about, aim at the hull below the water line.
If the ships start disappearing then fairly soon they will stop coming. We should not be seen as the soft touch we are now. If we don’t stop this illigal human migration steeming from asia in time we will live to regret it.

    Rob, ex RAAF SNCO (electronics)

  18. liz Says:

    Absolutely. 100%.Correct.

Let’s help our homeless Aussies first if anything.

Amazing how when the Krudd and Gillard got into government, the flood gates opened. We need a tough policy to protect us against extremists and illegals like these people and I don’t believe a word Ronald McDonald (red hair, bad fashion sense) says, ALP is way way too soft on them.

  19. Mary Says:

I agree 100% with everything said. The problem is that since the forced introduction of multiculturalism by The Labour Government in the 1970′s our immigration centres are now run by ethnics who will always side with these illegals before they will side with white australians every time. Every time. Just read a post of Facebook from a woman who is married to a black man. She was on about refugees and the treatment they receive in Australia. This woman is 100% true blue aussie by blood only obviously. She truly believes that because she is married to a beautiful black man that they must all be like him. He is a beautiful man and I love him, but it is this attitude that is the problem. How is it that a black man can travel half way across the world with dynamite strapped to his fucking nuts, while an elderly white woman (me) gets frisked three times at each security check point because I have a total knee replacement. It is because since the inception of multiculturalism every security check point is now manned by a black or ethnic person. I recently watched a black muslim woman, four children in tow filling up her trolley with clothes while I was shouting my son $50 worth of clothes because he had just lost his job (ethnic manager) and Centrelink (again now run by blacks and ethnics) wouldn’t pay him any money because the ethnic manager put on his seperation certificate that he was not following company policy.. so they sacked him. The policy was that you had to greet customers within 30 seconds of them walking through the door of the shop. He was selling over budget every week. We are under attack in our own country thanks to a Labour Government who completely fucked Britain the same way. Our crops are now being poisoned right under our very noses. It’s time some-one stood up and protected us. But they just keep bringing in more white- haters every day. And I think you will find that since the forced introduction of multiculturalism the do gooders are no longer ango australians. Our friend in the navy witnessed the children overboard episode, so now our navy personel are liars

  20. Stan Bouchos Says:

Fellow Aussies, we got to nip this in the bud before it gets totally out of hand. Voting for the Labor isn’t going to do it, and don’t get me wrong, I’m no Lib supporter, but I’ll vote for anyone who at least has the decency to put the Australian taxpayer first.
In Mount Isa where I live we have an old peoples home where they are trying to raise money for a bus to take them out occasionally. The govt won’t get it for them. And little fucken wonder when the morons keep spending our money on these illegal fucken moslem queue jumpers, while leaving old Aussie taxpayers to fend for themselves. Fuck me we’ve gone soft.
