Tonight is the first night of the UK tour

Dad is onstage in Plymouth right now no doubt knocking ‘em dead

I’m still in Chicago

I start the tour next Tuesday in Scotland

There’s over 70 shows on this UK tour

I’m doing 50-something I think

Dad’s doing all of them

So, it seems like I’m getting my arse handed to me on a platter by a sexagenarian

And no that’s not someone who’s into kinky sex or I will vomit right here, right now

It’s someone who’s in their 60′s

12 weeks is too long for me to be away from nagging my family

So I’m doing my shows in 2 lots with a break in the middle

This is allowing me to be home for both girl’s birthday’s

The first day of school & Halloween and my annual mammogram

The only thing I won’t be home for is my wedding anniversary

I told Diamond I would ‘owe him one’ *wink*

So yeah, Dad’s on stage right now

And Mum’s out the front of the theatre with Anne the trouble-maker – who runs the UK office

And they’re probably a couple of wines into their night already

And rather than feel left out

I might just have one or two myself

Looks like takeaway for dinner in this house again tonight…
